At the heart of their sound is the electrified saz (Bağlama). Just as the electric guitar revolutionized music in the 1930s, the electrified saz sparked the rise of Anatolian Rock in the 1960s—a fusion of psychedelic rock and traditional Anatolian folk. In Şatellites’ hands, the electrified saz merges seamlessly with drums, bass, and synths, giving the songs a trance-like dimension, hypnotic depth, and a modern, danceable edge. They honor the golden era of Anatolian Rock while reinterpreting it for a global audience: deeply rooted in Turkish musical tradition, yet open, groovy, and psychedelic.

Their self-titled debut earned international acclaim and established the band as a global representative of Anatolian psych music.
