15 Years GRETCHEN: JOSHUA IDEHEN
15 Years GRETCHEN: JOSHUA IDEHEN
Joshua Idehen (Big Wednesday/UK/NG/SW) *live*
Joshua Idehen is a British-Nigerian spoken-word artist and musician based in Stockholm, blending poetry and club culture into something uniquely his own.
His performances are more concerts. They unfold as rituals suspended between the dancefloor and contemplation — a kind of secular communion where reflection and release feed into one another. You find yourself dancing while absorbing his words, and reflecting on them long after you've already surrendered to the rhythm.
Driven by explosive creativity and an unmistakably moving voice, Joshua has become a defining presence within the UK’s jazz and electronic music scenes. What makes his work so compelling is its rare sense of balance: between speech and silence, between bass and meaning. He harnesses the collective energy of the dancefloor to create genuine connection, often inviting audiences to look each other in the eye, embrace, and let go. The result is an experience that feels like a celebration in the moment, yet lingers like a meaningful conversation.
Joshua Idehen’s sound is more than music — it is spirituality in motion. Words become beats, beats become messages, and somewhere in between, something emerges that resists easy categorisation. An invitation to feel, to think, and to dance.
For this event we offer discounted tickets to give people with less money still access to culture. These quotas are limited and only available at TixforGigs. We trust in your self-assessment: If you can, please book standard tickets and leave the reduced tickets to those who have to save money at the moment.
