A musician you can’t put in a box – he shatters it. Jowee Omicil is a creative whirlwind and fearless improviser who breaks rules, bends genres, and builds soundscapes that taste like freedom. Born in Montréal to Haitian parents, he weaves encounters and cultures into a singular musical cosmos – where jazz, gospel, Afro rhythms, and hip-hop grooves collide. Armed with an ever-evolving arsenal – saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, Rhodes, flute, and whatever the moment demands – he channels music through his whole being. And when he plays, you never know which spirits might visit: sometimes it’s Miles, sometimes Coltrane. One thing’s certain – with Jowee, you never know what will happen, but it will be great. Each concert is a premiere in itself.

From his father’s church to Berklee and the streets of New York, Jowee’s journey has been shaped by legends like Ornette Coleman and Roy Hargrove. He’s collaborated with Tony Allen, Marcus Miller, André 3000, served as MC for Quincy Jones’ 85th in Montreux, and starred in Damien Chazelle’s The Eddy. A true visionary, Jowee sees music as a bridge between people, cultures, and emotions – turning every concert into a journey of freedom and discovery.

Think of his stage as a portal: Jowee, surrounded by his instruments and a sound you can only truly experience with all your senses. Between Cap-Haïtien and 52nd Street, between the Vodou drums of Haiti and the free, cosmic landscapes of an open jam session. Every track is its own world – unique, unrepeatable. Jowee embodies the spirit of fearless reinvention.

With his upcoming album sMiLes (out November 11, 2025), Jowee approaches the legacy of Miles Davis not with a traditional tribute, but as a bold continuation – shaped by risk, groove, and spontaneous creativity.
