The visionary pop project Kadebostany will embark on a world tour in 2026, featuring a new live show, and will perform at Gretchen on March 9.

Balancing grandeur with fragility, composer and producer Guillaume de Kadebostany – better known as President Kadebostan, the charismatic leader of the conceptual Republic of Kadebostany – has crafted his own brand of pop music and a distinctive visual identity, which he describes as “sophisticated music with mass appeal.”

Since its founding in 2008, Kadebostany has operated within the narrative framework of its imaginary European republic, blending post-punk, soul, global pop, marching rhythms, and electronic soundscapes with orchestral elements. Elaborately designed uniforms, symbolic rituals, and retro-futuristic choreography turn their live shows into fully-fledged works of art, where sound and visuals merge into one immersive experience. Guillaume de Kadebostany not only writes and produces all the songs, but also develops the visual concept behind the band’s striking stage productions.
