MONOPHONICS

Since 2012, San Francisco's Monophonics have earned a reputation as one of the best and most consistent live bands around. The band boasts an almost heavenly signature style, blending pure, timeless heavy soul, funk, and the warm textures of psychedelic rock. Led by vocalist and keyboardist Kelly Finnigan, they create a sound deeply rooted in the golden eras of Motown, Stax, and similar, yet it remains both timeless and contemporary.

Their fifth and current album, "Sage Motel" (2022), is an impressive conceptual work delving into the stories and yearnings of guests at a fictional motel. Once again, it captures the timeless psychedelic soul sound for which the band is renowned: a cinematic soul journey brimming with emotion, groove, and depth.

Inspired by classic soul legends and 1970s film scores, Monophonics consistently prove with each release that real soul is alive: raw, honest, and enchanting.
