If you’ve never seen Labess live, this is one of those concerts that stays with you.
Labess take flamenco-driven guitars, North African rhythms and the unmistakable voice of Nedjim Bouizzoul, and turn it into something that feels both deeply familiar and completely new. Their music moves between joy, longing and resistance, the kind of sound that pulls you in even if you don’t know the language. No matter where you’re from, their shows have this rare ability to make a whole room breathe together.

Artist Bios

Labess
Labess is the musical project of Algerian artist Nedjim Bouizzoul, blending Rumba, Flamenco, Chaabi and North African folk influences into a poetic, emotional and rhythmically rich sound. Touring widely across Europe, North Africa and Canada, the band is celebrated for its heartfelt storytelling, uplifting energy and the warm, communal spirit they bring to every stage.

Labess returns to Berlin with a show that carries the spirit of the Maghreb and the journey of its founder, Nedjim Bouizzoul,a voice shaped by migration, struggle, and a deep love for music that crossed borders long before it reached the stage.

Their sound mixes tradition with modern movement: North African rhythms, flamenco roots, and street-born melodies that make people dance even when the lyrics cut deep. It’s music that carries a story, but also knows how to turn a room into pure celebration.

Opening the night is Ahmed Eid, one of the most impactful Palestinian artists of his generation. His music carries stories of origin, resistance, hope, and freedom, delivered through a musical language that is unmistakably his.

A beginning filled with purpose, before Labess takes the night into celebration.
