\u201eThe Jakob Manz Project\u201c \u2013 das klingt nach Einzelperson, ist aber ein Bandgef\u00fcge. Wie habt ihr zusammengefunden und wie w\u00fcrdet ihr euch als Band beschreiben?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben uns alle bei einem Jazz Workshop in Inzighofen kennengelernt im Jahre 2016.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eure Musik klingt oft rhythmisch verdichtet, fast wie organische Grooves aus der Clubkultur. Gibt es stilistische Grenzen bei euch oder ist Jazz f\u00fcr euch ein offenes Spiel?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich denke, gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils sind wir im Jazz Rock verwurzelt der 80er und 90er Jahre. Aber generell gibt es wenig bis keine stilistischen Grenzen. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie entsteht bei euch ein St\u00fcck? Gibt es klare Rollen oder entsteht vieles kollektiv?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prinzipiell komponiert jeder ein St\u00fcck zu Hause, und wenn es zu der Probe kommt, ist es eigentlich schon zu 95% fertig<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie geht ihr mit den verschiedenen Karrierepfaden der Einzelnen um? Wie bleibt ihr als Band verbunden?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeder von uns hat nat\u00fcrlich noch eigene oder andere Projekte. F\u00fcr Touren etc sind wir dann aber dadurch, dass unser Programm enorm eingespielt ist, nicht durch andere Programme tangiert.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jazz wird oft als \u201eernste Kunst\u201c gesehen und hat den Ruf manchmal \u201everkopft\u201c zu sein. Bei euch aber geht es um Spielfreude, Groove, Direktheit, euer Publikum tanzt. Ist das ein bewusster Gegenentwurf?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es ist nicht direkt ein bewusster Gegenentwurf, sondern das, was f\u00fcr uns von Anfang an normal und organisch war. Dass es ein Gegenentwurf sein kann bzw so wahrgenommen werden kann, ist mir zumindest erst viel sp\u00e4ter aufgefallen. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welche Rolle spielt digitale Sichtbarkeit bei euch? Social Media, Streaming, Live-Videos\u2026 muss Jazz heute auch Instagram k\u00f6nnen?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich denke, dass es heutzutage generell schwer m\u00f6glich ist ohne social media, egal in welchem Genre.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was macht ein gutes Konzert f\u00fcr euch aus, sowohl auf der B\u00fchne als auch davor und was nehmt ihr als Band davon mit?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich unterscheide immer zwischen zwei Dingen:   <\/em>
1) musikalisch auf bestm\u00f6glichen Level zu kommen und <\/em>
2) das Publikum m\u00f6glichst gut abzuholen. <\/em>
Beides ist f\u00fcr mich gleicherma\u00dfen entscheidend und wenn beides passt, ist es super.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gibt es ein Live-Erlebnis, das euch als Band besonders gepr\u00e4gt hat?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich denke sehr besonders f\u00fcr uns war das Konzert 2019 im Forum Leverkusen bei den Leverkusener Jazztagen<\/em>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am 24.09. spielt ihr endlich bei uns im Gretchen. Wie ver\u00e4ndert ein Ort wie dieser euer Set? Ist das f\u00fcr euch mehr Konzert, mehr Club oder etwas dazwischen? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich denke, etwas dazwischen trifft es sehr gut. Wir werden auf jeden Fall unser Programm so gut und packend wie m\u00f6glich abrufen und freuen uns enorm.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berlin ist ein Ort, an dem vieles gleichzeitig passiert, kulturell, musikalisch, sozial. Wie erlebt ihr die Stadt als K\u00fcnstler?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es ist immer ein besonderes Gef\u00fchl, in einer internationalen und bunten Stadt wie Berlin zu spielen, wo soviel gleichzeitig passiert. Das spiegelt sich auch oft im Publikum wieder.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was steht bei euch als Band oder Solo als n\u00e4chstes an?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eine gro\u00dfe Sache wird unser Konzert in der Alten Oper Frankfurt im Zuge meiner Jazz Residency, die ich dort machen darf.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
